Shot 1: Inbound Thought of the Week
3 quick thoughts and thanks…
Before we get into the show, we want to mention our producer Christopher Mottram and his company Podcastily:
Chris has been producing our show right from the start, and he does a fantastic job editing out all our waffle and stuff ups.
He produces some of the top podcasts globally, and as of today, the shows he’s produced have had a combined 20M downloads.
A big thank you to the Hoppe7 agency in Germany who included us in their 10 Best Inbound Marketing Podcasts of 2018 post:
We were very excited to get an email from Isabell Weiss letting us know we were number 5 in their list. Thanks for listening Isabell, and thanks for your wonderful message!
Native Shopify Integration
Shopify Integration BETA rolling out – we’ve started playing with it, will be doing a full episode on it in 2 weeks time.
Shot 2: HubSpot Marketing Starter Feature of the Week
Forms in HubSpot Marketing Free (with HubSpot branding!) & Marketing Starter.
You can now easily add very functional forms – even includes the ability to add File Upload type form fields.
Also includes reCAPTCHA spam bot prevention.
Plus HubSpot is rolling out Email sending in HubSpot Free as well. Look out MailChimp.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they roll out a stripped down version of landing pages in HubSpot Free as well in the coming months.
Shot 3: HubSpot Gotcha of the Week
Not realising all the free features available to Sales Hub Free!
Shot 4: HubSpot Marketing Tip of the Week
Check page bounce rates on your sites.
You can do this in HubSpot under Marketing > Reports > Analytics Tools > Traffic Analytics
You can also see this data in Google Analytics.
Plus, another bonus of the Traffic Analytics report is that the Page Type selector can tell the difference between blog pages and web pages of WordPress sites (unlike the Content Strategy tool which doesn’t seem to know about blog posts on external sites…)
Shot 5: HubSpot Sales Hub Free Feature of the Week
We wanted to highlight 4 features that you can be using straight away for $0!
- Email notifications (stream of 200 recent opens)
- Email templates (5 per portal) – to have a process for standardised responses to people
- Documents (5 per portal) – great for sharing ebooks and reports to people that you can track and see their engagement with it
- Meetings (1 meetings link, additional limits) – a time saver if you want to make booking meetings efficient
Shot 6: Opinion of the Week
Should other marketing tools eg MailChimp & ActiveCampaign be concerned about HubSpot?
You can start running your business on Hubspot Marketing Starter & Sales Hub Free – and get a ton of value.
Shot 7: Podcast of the Week
HubnSpoke is back:
Shot 8: Resource of the Week
Hyperlocal SEO: How to Optimize for Micro-Moments
BrightEdge reported that 79 percent of keywords overall and 47 percent of the top 20 SERPs are different on a mobile device.
Shot 9: Quote of the Week
“Wisdom is the reward you get for a lifetime of listening when you’d have preferred to talk.” – Doug Larson
He also said:
“Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.”
And tons more: https://www.brainyquote.com/authors/doug_larson
